As a Programmatic Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by selling programmatic advertising solutions to new and existing clients. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their marketing goals and deliver tailored solutions using programmatic channels, real-time bidding, and data-driven strategies. You will also collaborate with internal teams including account management, operations, and analytics to ensure seamless campaign execution and client satisfaction.

This role requires a blend of sales expertise, digital advertising knowledge, and technical proficiency in programmatic platforms and media buying.



Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities in the programmatic advertising space through prospecting, lead generation, and cold outreach. Build relationships with key decision-makers in marketing, advertising, and media buying.
  • Sales Strategy & Pitching: Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and solutions that highlight the value of programmatic advertising to prospective clients. Customize pitches to meet specific client needs and marketing objectives.
  • Client Consultation & Needs Analysis: Work closely with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and target audiences. Provide expert guidance on programmatic strategies, channel selection, targeting, and optimization to maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • Campaign Execution & Optimization: Collaborate with account managers and operations teams to ensure smooth campaign implementation. Provide recommendations for optimizing performance and ensure campaigns are delivering against client KPIs.
  • Market Research & Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology, and best practices in programmatic advertising. Share insights with clients to help them stay ahead of the curve.
  • Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with clients to drive retention, upsell opportunities, and renewals. Act as a trusted advisor and resource for all things programmatic.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights to clients and stakeholders. Use data to identify opportunities for optimization and inform future sales strategies.



Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3 years of experience in programmatic advertising, digital media sales, or related fields. Strong track record of sales success and ability to manage a pipeline of prospects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of programmatic platforms (e.g., The Trade Desk, Google DV360, MediaMath), SSPs, DSPs, DMPs, and programmatic buying processes.
  • Sales Skills: Proven experience in consultative selling, relationship building, and closing deals. Comfortable with both cold outreach and managing long sales cycles.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze campaign data and metrics to drive optimization and deliver insights to clients. Familiarity with attribution models, ROAS, CTR, CPM, and other key performance indicators.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams including operations, product, and analytics.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or a related field preferred.
