Checkered Flag Automotive Group is looking for an experienced Apprentice Technician to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA!

What Our Apprentice Technicians Do
- Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical problems on vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Assist with the installation of performance upgrades and accessories on vehicles
- Learn and keep up to date with the latest technologies and repair methods
- Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding repairs and maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Your Pre-Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enrolled in a technical school program in automotive repair or equivalent work experience
- Passion for learning and a desire to become a technician
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Must have a valid driver's license with 4 or fewer moving violations in the last 3 years
Major violations in the last 3 years, such as DUI or Reckless Driving, will disqualify candidates.
