The National Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key national accounts. This role involves managing and growing these accounts to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, along with a strategic mindset to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  1. Serve as the main point of contact for national accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within each account.
  3. Understand the needs and objectives of each account, providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.
  4. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  5. Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  6. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  7. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with national accounts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  8. Manage contract renewals and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  9. Resolve any issues or disputes that arise, maintaining a positive relationship with the account.
  10. Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure the needs of national accounts are met.
  11. Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  12. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on account performance and progress.
  13. Monitor and analyze account performance metrics, sales data, and customer feedback.
  14. Prepare and present detailed reports on account status, sales performance, and future opportunities.
  15. Use data and insights to make informed decisions and recommendations for account strategies.
  16. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  1. BA/BS in Business Management, Logistics or associate degree and five years’ experience or equivalent.
  2. Highly desirable: Experience in Waste Industry, Environmental Services or similar.
  3. National Account management experience required.
  4. Experience in a leadership role.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
