What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver for Male Clients Sat/Sun 10AM-6PM position at Cheer Home Care?
Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others? We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Care Aides (HCA) to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional care for those living with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s or Hospice.
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday ongoing 10AM-6PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide specialized care to individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s, focusing on safety and comfort.
- Help with meal planning, preparation, and feeding assistance.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organization of living spaces.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and a sense of security to clients.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed.
- Monitor clients' well-being, observing any changes in their physical or emotional state, and report findings.
- Ensure medication is taken as prescribed and assist with any other personal care needs
- Collaborate with office staff to ensure the best possible care is provided.
Requirements
- Cell phone with internet access
- Strong organizational & communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and compassion towards others
- Certifications that are preferred but NOT required: CNA, HHA, CPR, First Aid, AED
- Active Home Care Aide status (Unsure? We can show you how!)
- Proof of Negative TB results
