Delivery Driver/Shop Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver/ shop assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to safety regulations. The Delivery Driver will operate our company van and perform floral deliveries as well as other various duties. Applicant must look appropriate to represent our company to the public. You must be able to get in and out of the vehicle with ease as well as lift at least 30 lbs. This would not be a suitable job for someone of limited mobility. Floral processing as well as many cleaning duties will be required. This does not include floral arranging or design. You must have a good driving record and positive attitude and the ability to get along with others while working. You must be confident in driving in various weather conditions.

Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload products from the vehicle, including boxes of flowers, vases and various cargo.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries, adjusting as needed based on traffic conditions or customer requests. Following GPS routing as a basis for deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery confirmations and any discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transit.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning of all equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries or concerns professionally.

- Flower processing includes cutting of flowers and placing in buckets for use or display in the refrigerator.

-Washing of floral buckets or various vases.

-Sweeping of floors and trash detail as well as other cleaning responsibilities.

-Occasional stocking of vases

Experience
- Experience is not necessary but a good driving record is required.
- Familiarity with route driving operations is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
