We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our accounting team and contribute to our growth.
Summary : Assists Quality Assurance Management in the maintenance of overall product quality and safety. Assists in the effective completion of tasks and documentation of Quality Assurance responsibilities. In event of absence position will be filled by a qualified replacement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform required finished product testing and the effective completion of documentation and data entry
Inspect finished product for food safety hazards including foreign material
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments as required
Effectively communicate with all levels of positions within all departments as needed
Notifies appropriate personnel when non-conformances are noted and assuring proper documentation noted
Conduct Food Safety Inspections in the production environment
Conduct Daily GMP inspections and follow through with enforcement of GMPs
Conducting Weekly and Monthly tasks as assigned
Ability to assist in raw material inspections and appropriate data entry
Organize finished product retains
Other duties with similar skill, work conditions, and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Responsibilities for Food Safety
Must adhere to and enforce Company GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) when working within the production facility.
Monitor CCPs (Critical Control Points), must be trained in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and adhere to approved HACCP plan(s).
Responsible for reporting suspicious packages, activities, and individuals.
Responsible for completing required paperwork accurately and honestly.
Education and / or Experience
High School Diploma required
1-year minimum experience in a quality assurance role is desired
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate effectively in English both in written form and verbally.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of data entry and moderately proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must possess strong attention to detail. Must have moderate computer skills. No known allergies to foods.
