Job Summary:
As a Server at Chef 21, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. We seek individuals who are passionate about hospitality, have a keen understanding of Japanese cuisine, and can provide outstanding service with a smile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring a delightful dining experience from the moment they are seated until they leave.
- Menu Knowledge: Be knowledgeable about our menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, and be able to make recommendations to guests.
- Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system promptly.
- Food & Beverage Delivery: Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously, ensuring orders are delivered correctly and on time.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including dining tables and service stations.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service operations.
- Upselling: Promote and upsell special menu items, beverages, and desserts to enhance the guest experience.
- Problem Resolution: Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a server in a high-end restaurant or sushi establishment is preferred. Bar knowledge is a plus!
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Knowledge: A good understanding of Japanese cuisine and sushi, or a willingness to learn.
- Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
