Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to a safe and hygienic food service environment.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all items are returned to their designated places.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and helping cooks during busy periods.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Support the kitchen team during peak hours by assisting with catering or banquet services when required.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with culinary practices, including food handling and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
