Restaurant Host

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding guest services in a hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the menu and specials.
• Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems to assist with order entry and guest requests.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Help train new staff members on guest relations protocols and service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for this role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
