What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Manager position at Chef’s Special Cocktail Bar?
Chef's Special Cocktail Bar is looking for a strong leader who exercises good judgement in difficult situations and demonstrates a great attention to detail. It is imperative our managers lead by example to cultivate a welcoming and professional atmosphere for the staff and guests alike. This job is well suited for someone who is confident, solution focused, enjoys a fast paced atmosphere and can keep their cool under pressure. We are looking for someone ambitious so they may potentially grow into a larger role in the future. RESPONSIBILITIES:
-reports directly to the General Manager to oversee the work of our Bar Manager, Bar Supervisor and twenty-five Front of House employees
-work typical shift hours of 3pm-11pm or 4pm-12am
-actively present on floor during service with the ability to work on your feet for 40 hours a week and lift 20lbs
-works to create an equitable and accountable work space to ensure the safety of our guests and staff
-sets a strong example for staff with demonstration of teamwork & keeping composure under pressure
-sets clear expectations for staff, implements policies and service standards
-follows disciplinary action format and upholds restaurant code of conduct
-develops intuitive systems for service for staff to work smarter and adapt to guests' needs
-supports GM to interview and hire new Front of House staff members
-updates FOH training materials, guides and quizzes as needed
-create and improves internal policies for management, FOH staff and BOH staff/ management communication
-attends and is an active participant in regular manager meetings
-attends food, beverage and service trainings
-resolves customer facing issues
-builds knowledge third party programs such as Toast, Resy and Caviar for daily needs and special events
-develops ability to navigate applications such as Wordpress and InDesign
-helps organize and execute special events/ celebrations
-ensures all staff keeps the restaurant clean and organized
-sustains aesthetics of space as laid out by ownership with attention to details in lighting, design and music
-supports staff on the floor during the shift as needed, helps support floor when there is a call-off
-orders non-perishable supplies for restaurant weekly
-accurately completes tip sheets and daily/weekly financials
-follows opening and closing procedures of restaurant

Salary : $50,000 - $57,000
