What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server Assistant position at Chef’s Special Cocktail Bar?
Chef's Special Cocktail Bar is hiring Server Assistants for the summer months (May-Oct). We are looking for someone with prior restaurant experience, who is attentive, thoughtful and fast on their feet, dependable and hard working.
We are a busy American-Chinese restaurant with about 30 seats on the patio and 60 inside. This position is part of a fully pooled house. That means we gather tips collectively and distribute them based on an individual's position by the number of hours worked. This method reflects our team focused atmosphere. Although people have their individual roles, each position is working to support one another in order for us to have a successful service.
Our team is made up of open-minded, smart and creative individuals.
Daily Tasks Include:
-pouring water at the table
-distributing condiments to table
-changing plates throughout the meal
-wiping down tables when guests get up
-clearing plates and glassware
-polishing plates, utensils and glassware once clean
-stocking server stations
-completing daily sidework/cleaning tasks
