Who you are :

The General Manager should be familiar with all aspects of managing a restaurant from high volume fine dining to casual family style. He / she will be a generalist of sorts, familiar with all areas of the restaurant and possessing the ability to coordinate all processes and operations throughout. The role of General Manager is quite demanding, requiring a high level of managerial, communication, and leadership skills. The General Manager must be confident and responsible at all times in managing and leading the rest of their team while maintaining a calm composure during often times of high pressure and stressful situations.

What you’ll do :

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Oversee the daily operations for the entire restaurant seven days a week.
  • Meet restaurant financial objectives by analyzing and controlling budgets.
  • Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports.
  • Provide direct management of key functional managers ensuring smooth operations at all times.
  • Attract patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs; evaluate results; identify and track changing demands.
  • Control purchases and inventory; review and evaluate usage reports; analyze variances; take corrective actions.
  • Maintain operations by executing and enforcing all company policies and standard operating procedures; implement production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards.
  • Accomplish restaurant and bar objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management staff; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; comply with health and legal regulations; maintain security systems.

What we need from you :

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years recent experience in a similar role in the restaurant industry.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Must have reliable transportation to / from work.
  • Must have excellent communication and leadership skills.
