Job Description
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for all of the various activities necessary to bring a product from inception to production on time, on budget while ensuring all technical requirements are properly met.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with engineering, product management, and sales teams to ensure project objectives and business goals are met.
- The TPM defines 'WHAT' and 'WHEN' for deliverables, while engineers focus on 'HOW' to achieve them.
- Oversee and drive new product development across multiple projects.
- Address and resolve technical challenges to overcome project blockers.
- Collaborate with engineers to jointly manage new product development and market introduction.
- Identify and address project risks and issues, implementing mitigations to minimize impact.
- Engage with all stakeholders to motivate, identify issues, propose solutions, and enhance efficiency.
- Independently and collaboratively identify, implement, and validate technical solutions.
- Prepare and deliver regular project updates and dashboards to senior management, highlighting status and milestones.
- Develop and review test procedures and manage product testing throughout the development cycle.
- Ensure that global teams are aligned with the project direction and updated on status and key issues.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience of working in fast paced, challenging environment
- Experience in interacting with engineering, manufacturing, and external partners both domestically and internationally.
- At least 3 years in hardware consumer product development.
- successfully launched at least one hardware product with cross functional dependencies, either as an engineer or project manager
