Seattle Sales Coordinator
Chefs Warehouse is committed to supporting the Pacific Northwest food community with integrity, compassion, and drive. As a key member of our rapidly growing organization, The Sales Coordinator acts as a liaison among all departments - sales, operations, and purchasing / logistics. This position will be the main resource for many inventory-related tasks as well as the point-person for staff training, education, and an overall resource for both internal and external communications. This is a dynamic position with room for creative growth.
Expectations
The Sales Coordinator will own and manage all inventory research including receiving shorts, past due Purchase Orders, and general inventory review to mitigate out of stocks and expiration.
Owner and facilitator of the daily selling activity to move short, coded product included perishable and non-perishable items- have alignment with operations.
Work with marketing to support the outside sales team in launching new products.
Coordinate with our vendor partners to broker guaranteed sales and samples to support item launches, re-launches, and market work.
Outside Sales Associate support - fielding questions regarding pricing, inventory, ETAs.
Backup support to sales management to assist with stretch assignments as required.
Occasional vacation coverage for both Inside and Outside Sales Associates.
Self-starter, professional, goal oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
Requirements
Greater Seattle based, this is an in-office position
Foodservice or purchasing experience is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of Food Service and Retail customers and market dynamics and requirements.
Willingness to travel and work in a team of Food Service professionals (5-10% travel, 90-95% in office / remote)
Proven leadership and ability to drive an agenda.
Flexibility : ability to work well with all departments and levels of staff both internally & externally
Manage a small territory of House accounts, build and maintain sales with help of sales management
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales data and trends
Self-starter with initiative and exceptional communication skills
