Position Summary : Ensures safety and federally administered compliance regulations are enforced for equipment and employees. Implements and supports company established safety policies, procedures, and training programs, and actively engages employees to ensure awareness, and that best practices are followed.
What you'll do :
- Promotes best practices, regulatory requirements, industry standards & DOT / OSHA regulations.
- Supports Safety Manager in developing and implementing safety and risk management programs which comply with all Federal, State, and local laws
- Ensure that all Quality Assurance functions are being performed, and documented, in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Organize, review (including HACCP CCP monitoring records) and file daily paperwork.
- Monitor, document, and perform daily audits to ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Perform Pre-Operational (Pre-Op) and Post-Operational (Post-Op) Inspections in accordance to written procedure implementing and documenting corrective actions to remedy issues that may arise.
- Inspect sanitary conditions of floors, walls, and equipment.
- Work with others to correct any sanitation issues.
- Check pest-control devices on a weekly basis.
- Performs daily, weekly, and monthly instrumentation calibrations, documenting and reporting all corrective actions to management.
- Perform periodic, daily walk through of the facility to ensure that all quality, food safety and food defense standards are compliant, documenting non-conformances and submitting report to quality assurance management.
- Comprehend all relevant policies and standard operating procedures throughout the facility to audit, inspect and ensure compliance.
- Assist Quality Assurance Manager in performing internal, regulatory agency facility, and operational audits.
