Position Summary : The Shipping Clerk at the company is responsible for facilitating smooth and efficient operations in the shipping department. They play a critical role in coordinating and overseeing the loading and unloading of goods, verifying inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely and accurate shipments. The Shipping Clerk must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do :
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of goods during the night shift, ensuring the accurate and timely movement of products.
- Verify and reconcile inbound and outbound shipments, checking for accuracy and completeness against documentation and purchase orders.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and reporting any issues to the appropriate teams.
- Prepare shipping and delivery documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, drivers, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Utilize computer systems or software to track shipments, update inventory records, and generate reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations during the shipping and receiving processes.
