Job Summary: The Project Financial Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on CTE projects. This role encompasses project management until the completion of a project and includes financial analysis, operational and financial due diligence, monitoring and analyzing project budgets, plans, timelines, determination of overall project viability and future Return on Investment (ROI), and maximizing tribal tax generation to the Chehalis Tribe. The Project Financial Analyst will also develop key performance indicators (KPI’s) to track project outcomes during the construction and initial implementation phases and operational KPIs to track project performance after project completion against projection projections and ROI performance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
A. Take the lead on project management through project completion.
B. Develop comprehensive project plans, including operational and financial due diligence, financial projections, and determining project viability.
C. Plan, schedule, and manage project timelines and budgets.
D. Coordinate third-party consultants for project planning execution.
E. Provide direction and support to the CTE Business Management Team.
F. Implement and manage project changes.
G. Create and maintain detailed project documentation.
H. Provide financial analysis and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project performance.
I. Monitor and report project progress to the CEO and Business Management Team.
J. Prepare and present reports summarizing project progress, challenges, and solutions.
K. Use financial models and data analysis to forecast future performance, predict business scenarios, and support budgeting efforts.
L. Gather, organize and analyze financial data from various sources, including financial statements, market trends, and economic indicators.
M. Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to meet financial goals.
N. Analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend strategies to improve financial performance.
O. Stay informed about economic trends, market conditions, and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
P. Evaluate investment opportunities and provide advice on financial strategies and investments.
Q. Facilitate the explanation of project goals and deliverables to the Business Management Team.
R. Present regular reports on project status, including progress, challenges, and potential solutions.
S. Provide clear communication to the Business Management Team on project outcomes and financial projections.
T. Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision:
A. Supervision Received: Independently performs duties and responsibilities with guidance from the Sr. Director of Operations and the Chief Financial Officer.
B. Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibility; this is a project-oriented position.
Minimum Qualifications:
A. Education: A bachelor's degree is finance, business administration, accounting, economics or management is preferred, or an Associate's degree from a two-year college plus 5 years of work experience. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate is a plus.
B. Experience: 3 years’ experience in project management or financial analysis. Experience with scheduling, data analysis, supply management, and budgeting is preferred. Advanced computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
C. Skills & Abilities:
1) Language Skills: Ability to read, write and comprehend correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
2) Mathematical: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in many units of measure, using whole numbers, common tractions, and decimals. Ability to read and explain graphs and charts. Financial analysis skills a plus.
3) Computer Skills: Ability to function in the PC environment using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs efficiently with minimal errors. Proficient with accounting and financial report writing software, such as .
4) Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in unique situations.
5) Interpersonal Relations/Customer Service: Possess positive personality and customer-service oriented. Work effectively with other employees and has good verbal communication skills. Able to deal with pressure and work quickly. Has a strong desire to succeed.
