Position: ICTS Computer TechnicianLocation: Chelmsford Public SchoolsDescription: Provide technical assistance district wide. Responsibilities: The computer technician performs computer and peripheral diagnostics and repairs.
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, computer repair, installation, configuration, imaging, assembly of computers, monitors and other peripherals, pull/rewire cables as needed for new installations, troubleshooting and make repairs as needed, and serve as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment. The technician is expected to provide outstanding customer service, and approach all tasks with enthusiasm and the desire to solve problems. The technician will assist all users with technology related problems, and respond to user requests in a quick, friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Qualifications: Work experience in technology or customer service fieldKnowledge of computer hardwareExperience with Google applicationsWindows, Mac, Chrome, Android and iOS knowledgeAbility to repair/replace parts on most makes/models of devices or ability to learn device repairExperience with software installation, configuration, and troubleshootingExperience with cloud-based applications like Office 365 and GoogleConfigure devices for staff and student useAbility to troubleshoot connectivity issues, and work with the network team to solve problemsAbility to research for solutions to problems that are not easily solvedAbility to change ink and toner and perform some small repairs to printersCertification or training in Google Management highly preferred Work independently and as part of a teamEscalate technology issues beyond the technician scope to the proper technology team memberPromote and develop a friendly technology environment in cooperation with the end userDeliver superior customer service to end usersAssist end users with one to one training and advice about technology useDependability and punctuality requiredAbility to lift minimum of 75 poundsBe physically and emotionally capable of carrying-out responsibilities and duties in a busy environmentThis position requires physical activity such as lifting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, and hand/wrist movementAbility to read routine and complex documents and to use a computerPerform all other duties as assigned by ICTS Service Manager or Network Administrator and the Director of ICTS
