JOB SUMMARY/JOB DUTIES:
The Maintenance Trainee is responsible for learning and applying skills to maintain equipment and facilities to operate in the safest and most productive electro-mechanical condition, supporting continuous improvement, production strategies and plant reliability of equipment and building maintenance.
- Practices and complies with all plant and maintenance department safety procedures, including but not limited to: Lock-Out - Tag-Out; Arc Flash and Hot Work Permits.
- Assists in making improvements and suggestions to optimize maintenance program.
- Executes and documents planned and unplanned work findings and data during shift.
- With assistance, execute electrical and mechanical work orders in accordance to policy.
- Assists with equipment breakdowns/repairs and resolution.
- May perform other duties as required.
- Reliable, excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Strong desire to learn mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic skills
- Ability to work days or nights
- Ability to perform cleaning/preventative maintenance tasks
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Some college or formal technical school education is preferred.
- Entry level candidate looking for opportunities to learn and grow in a hands on environment
