Growing Pediatric Dental Practice in Manhattan & Long Island City (Queens) Seeking Experienced Full-time Insurance Coordinator/Dental Receptionist. We are a high tech and paperless office. We are looking for someone with a warm and friendly demeanor; after all, our Patient Coordinator is the first and last point of contact that our patients have with our office. Your smile and positive attitude must always shine. The successful candidate should be highly organized and possess great attention to detail. Job responsibilities will encompass all aspects of administering the day-to-day activities of the front office, including: accurate maintenance of patient records, efficient scheduling of patients, accurate balancing of patient ledgers, verification of insurance eligibility, presentation of financial treatment plan options, collecting payments, managing recall/recare system and maintaining the overall appearance and order of the front desk and waiting room. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. High school diploma
2. Minimum of 2 year of experience with DENTAL front office. (If no prior experience in the dental field, MUST be an extremely fast learner with excellent references and eager to learn.)
3. Experience with Dentrix/Dentrix Ascend Practice Management Software, Mac computers, and a variety of social media platforms.
4. Effective written and verbal communication skills
5. Basic math skills, including quick and accurate calculation of percentages.
6. Ready and available professional references
7. Team player who is able to adapt to office policy improvements
8. Conflict resolution experience.
9. Customer service and patient relations experience. Quick response/accurate data entry.
10. Experience and true understanding of what it means to ENGINEER the appointment calendar effectively.
11. Experience and confidence preparing and presenting treatment plans and financial payment options.
12. Accuracy, Honesty, Integrity, ATTENTION TO DETAIL and an ability to always see room for improvement within one's own performance. MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS and document well.
