About the Opportunity:
Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire a responsible childcare professional to join our team as a Kids Club Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for taking care of children 6 months – 8 years old in our Kids Club within the Fitness Center, always ensuring their safety and well-being, while also having fun and encouraging learning. This role reports to our Fitness Director and CP Kids Early Learning Center Director.

As the Fitness Center Babysitter you will be expected to:

• Supervise and ensure the health and safety of all children at all times
• Interact with children and engage in developmentally appropriate play and activities
• Communicate effectively with parents
• Create and implement structured play experiences
• Work and collaborate within a team
• Ensure proper use of babysitting facility for all Chelsea Piers members

Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 20 hours per week. Babysitting hours are Sunday-Saturday, 8:30am-12:30pm and Monday/Wednesday, 4:00pm-7:30pm (schedule will be a combination of these shifts)

Compensation: $16.50/hour 

About You:
You are responsible, punctual and have the ability to adapt to the needs of the children you are caring for. You are comfortable talking with parents and colleagues.

• Minimum of 1 year experience working with children
• Experience working with children ages 6 months to 8 years old
• Patient, exuberant and caring
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on a team and communicate effectively
• Proficient computer skills

This position is based at Chelsea Piers Athletic Club in Stamford, CT
