About the Opportunity
Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire Gymnastics Coaches to provide instruction to our recreational gymnastics camp classes for children ages 3-13 years old. Part-time and full-time seasonal positions are available for the summer camp season (June 9th-August 29th). This is a perfect summer job for a school teacher, student, or gymnastics enthusiast who is interested in working with children and instilling values of teamwork, sportsmanship and physical fitness!
As part of our team, you will be responsible for instructing our recreational camp classes and creating an encouraging, fun environment that fosters development. This job is perfect for former and current gymnasts, cheerleaders and dance enthusiasts who are committed to creating a positive environment and enjoy working on a team.
About You

You have experience in participating in or coaching Gymnastics, cheerleading, dance or a related area.

Primary Responsibilities

Teach recreational gymnastics camp classes to children ages 3-13

Create a fun, safe and productive environment

Attend all scheduled hours

Create and implement age/skill appropriate curriculum for classes

Follow rotation schedule

Track class attendance
Schedule: Seasonal, June 9th - August 29th. Camp hours are from 8:00am-4:00pm.
Compensation: $16.35-$20/hour, depending on experience

Qualifications

Preferably at least 1 year of experience teaching gymnastics and/or working with children

Exhibits an energetic, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times

Ability to work independently or within a group

Willingness to learn from and share knowledge with coworkers

Must be energetic and enthusiastic

Punctual and reliable. Maintains a neat and professional appearance at all times (CP Uniform).
