About the Opportunity:
Chelsea Piers Fitness is seeking to hire a Operations Manager to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for all facility operations, and you will be the “go-to” person at your assigned club. You will be successful by multi-tasking, while being the driving force towards successful solutions. This will be accomplished by multi-faceted excellence in your four main areas of responsibility:

Facility Maintenance & Operations
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facility Maintenance & Operations:

Keep facilities extremely clean, neat and in like-new condition.

Be the first point of escalation for crisis/issue-management.
-
Manage and oversee the proper operation and maintenance of all sports and fitness equipment.

Work closely with Marketing and Events teams to ensure all event operations run smoothly.

Available to supervise work during nights and weekends as needed, requested, or required.
Day-to-day business Operations:
-
Operate with a sense of urgency to correct issues that impact our member experience.

Oversee opening/closing of facilities and manage the opening/closing shift schedule & responsibilities.

Manage annual supplies, repair, and maintenance budgets, as well as individual project budgets, to ensure compliance and spending diligence.

Oversee ordering and ensure we are only utilizing company-wide approved vendors and supply lists
Security & Safety:
-
Ensure the facility is in compliance with all national, state, city and local laws.

Maintain service contracts with reputable vendors for services including, but not limited to, trash & recycling removal, fire alarm & sprinkler systems, elevator & lift inspections, and ejector pit maintenance. Ensure we are consistently receiving the best pricing and level of service.

Establish, implement, and maintain a facility-wide Emergency Action Plan along with a training program for existing and incoming employees.

Help maintain active Certified Pool Operator (CPO), FDNY F-03, OSHA-10 and CPR/AED/First-Aid certificates,
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or engineering
-
Understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
-
Time and project management skills.
-
Ability to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups, problem solve to identify issues, and create a plan of action.
-
Knowledge of and experience managing complex HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Ability to read drawings.
-
Experience managing small to medium-sized multi-trade projects.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
