Role:
General Responsibilities

Provide high level customer service and hospitality to members

Lead the Hospitality Team and ensure that they are operating at the Chelsea Piers Fitness standards of excellence

Maintain a positive attitude and take initiative

Maintain Chelsea Piers Fitness product and brand knowledge
-
Uphold high-level visibility and engagement with club members
-
Act as the On-Site Merchandise Coordinator
-
Own the Kids Clubhouse, including: recruiting, managing, scheduling and programming
Hospitality Management Responsibilities
-
Manage either the opening or closing of the entire fitness club
-
Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
-
Assist with Sales, Marketing, Personal Training and Group Fitness initiatives
-
Serve as a visible and active goodwill ambassador with prospective members
-
Manage the Hospitality Team to ensure that they are delivering the highest standard of customer service
-
Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and coaching process for the Hospitality Team
-
Facilitate and lead Hospitality Associate cross training to ensure all team members understand hospitality and fitness concierge duties including renewing personal training packages and checking in classes.

Maintain a high efficiency ranking on Medallia for Front Desk team

Coordinate staffing schedules

Complete bi-weekly payroll
Qualifications

College BA or BS degree preferred
-
Minimum 1-3 years of professional experience
-
Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit who can run projects independently. Creative problem-solver and ability to flourish in a fast-paced work environment

High-energy, personable and passion for fitness with a team-first mentality
-
Self-motivated/entrepreneurial spirit with an outgoing, diligent and affable disposition

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Ability to adapt to change and a willingness to improve and evolve

Must be able to lift up to 30 to 45 pounds and stand at the front desk for the duration of a shift

All employees must wear their Chelsea Piers Fitness uniform and nametag at all times while working. In addition to your uniform, all employees are required to follow the rules/regulations in the employee handbook

Full-time, paid through bi-weekly payroll

Pre-set schedule. Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule including weekend, holiday and early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability
