About the Opportunity:
Chelsea Piers seeks a part-time soccer coach to join our Soccer department in the Field House. You will teach recreational classes and work with our Travel Soccer Teams. You will be expected to:
- Coach players of all ages and skill levels, across all genders
- Teach the technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of soccer
- Provide a positive and engaging learning environment
- Adapt coaching techniques based on players’ abilities and developmental needs
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among athletes
- Assist in organizing and executing travel team training sessions and games
- Maintain accurate player progress notes and complete evaluations as required
- Participate in staff training, meetings, and development sessions
- Support camps, birthday parties, and special events as needed

Qualifications
About You:
You are passionate about playing and teaching soccer. You are professional and friendly and enjoy working in a team environment. You will also have:
- Minimum 6 years of coaching experience (any age level)
- Strongly preferred: 2 Grassroots licenses and/or National D License
- Experience coaching youth players, ages 2-14
- Passion for the game and a commitment to player development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to demonstrate and explain drills in an engaging, age-appropriate manner
- Prior playing experience (preferred but not required)
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends
- Familiarity with NYC’s five boroughs and the ability to commute to different parks for travel team games

Salary : $22 - $28
