About the Opportunity:
Chelsea Piers Golf Club is seeking to hire Summer Camp Counselors to work between June 16 through August 29. Chelsea Piers Camps in Manhattan offer engaging and challenging sports summer camp programs for children aged preschool and up in our state-of-the-art athletic facilities. Our Summer Camp Counselors are vital to the success of our camps and are dedicated to providing campers with a clean, safe, friendly, and fun environment to ensure a well-rounded sports education and camp experience. Working as a Summer Camp Counselor is a great way to gain experience and start your career at a world-class, growing sports and fitness company.
Counselors must be over the age of 16 and available for at least six weeks of the summer and/or work the full month of August.
Primary Responsibilities
- Help plan, lead, and implement camp sports activities for children ages 3 to 14
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and fun environment at all times
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and encouragement to our campers
- Escort campers throughout daily activities
- Set up and break down equipment
- Assist campers with lunch, bathroom breaks, and everything camp related
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times
- Be a role model for our campers
- Supervise all camper activities, ensuring the wellbeing of campers throughout the day
- Work with other camp staff, coaches, and golf instructors
Qualifications
About You:
You are over the age of 16 and are punctual, friendly, and motivated. You have experience with and love working with children. You also have:
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to be flexible and rise above stressful situations while remaining positive and energetic
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job
- Athletic ability and a love of being active
- Neat and well-groomed appearance
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job (including but not limited to getting wet)
Salary : $17
