About The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Ninja Parkour Lead Coach to join our team. This part-time role is perfect for someone passionate about ninja parkour training and coaching, who excels at developing programs, leading a team, and engaging with both students and parents. The Lead Coach will be responsible for overseeing the overall quality, curriculum, and coaching of the Ninja program, ensuring a high level of performance and engagement across all aspects of the program. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a proactive approach to program development. This role reports to the Gymnastics and Ninja Parkour Manager and Director and the General Manager. You will also be expected to:
- Identify new opportunities and suggest innovative ways to use our current equipment for different courses, challenges, and skills for Brooklyn Ninja Parkour programs
- Hold 1-2 staff development/training sessions per quarter for all ninja coaches
- Coordinate report card deliverables and parent/registration follow-up
- Deliver content for 1-3 social media posts per quarter to Marketing team
- Improve class enrollment and retention metrics for all Ninja Parkour classes and open sessions
- Recruit and develop Ninja Parkour talent
- Ensure consistent and exceptional coaching standards are maintained across all sessions
- Ensure all coaches implement effective, engaging, on-brand Ninja Parkour experience
- Assist with schedule management, substitutions, and evaluation
- Lead trainings to ensure quality Ninja/Parkour skills are taught with progressions to more advanced skills
Coaching and Instruction
- Teach at least 8 classes per week (goal is to drive interest and increase classes)
- Provide high-quality training to students of various levels
- Act as primary substitute during absences as needed
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have at least 5 years of youth Ninja Parkour teaching experience
- High-energy, personable, and a passion for Ninja Parkour
- Self-motivated spirit with an outgoing, diligent and affable disposition
- Ability to adapt to change and a willingness to improve and evolve
- Superior customer service skills; excellent and clear communication skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable with administrative tasks such as scheduling, communication, and reporting. Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams is a plus
- Must be able to lift 30 to 45 pounds or appropriate weight to lead session
Salary : $30 - $35
