Power BI Skills : Advanced with DAX

Understand big data concepts partitions / incremental refresh agg awareness etc.

Comfort with dimensional modeling facts and dimensions bridge tables.

SQL for viewcreation / native queries

Scope

  • Focus will be on creation of the following deliverables

    • Hey Dude Wholesale

    SPS Semantic Layer (Power BI Dataset)

  • SPS Reporting Report to be built from Semantic Layer
  • ShipOpen Semantic Layer (Power BI Dataset)
  • ShipOpen Report to be built from Semantic Layer
  • Circana

    • Circana Semantic Layer (Power BI Dataset)

  • Circana Report
  • Expectation of 40% time dedicated to creation of semantic layer 60% time dedicated to report builds.
  • Expectation is that minimum transformation needed in PBI Semantic Layer.
  • The following will be needed for successful scope completion :

    • Source Data Identification contributes to requirements but does not develop .

  • ETL of Data into Snowflake no development needed . Handled by engineering team.
  • Snowflake Modeling for extraction to PBI Semantic Layer no development needed . Handled by engineering team.
