What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Cheltenham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center?
The role of a Dietary Aide is to perform a variety of duties in the long-term care center's kitchen/dining room. Responsibilities include preparing meals - cooking, baking - preparing snacks - thicken liquids, dispense juices and desserts. Dietary Aides work to prepare trays, set up and deliver food carts and individual trays to residents. May be required to work in dish room, dispose of garbage, perform cleaning tasks on equipment, walls etc. and work in freezer and stockroom stocking shelves and performing related duties.
Experience in a kitchen setting preferred.
Required education:
- High school or equivalent
Required experience:
- Must have at least 6 months of tray line experience in a long-term care experience.
Other requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long hours
- Must be a team player
- Must be pleasant, energetic & hardworking
