We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Production Line Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing production processes, ensuring safety and quality standards, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an Aerosol Packaging Line Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our packaging line. This role will involve managing production staff, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and ensuring that our chemical products are packaged in compliance with company standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Supervision: Lead, supervise, and motivate the production team to meet production goals, maintain quality, and comply with safety protocols. Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment to drive productivity.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise the daily operations of the chemical packaging line, including scheduling, training, and monitoring team members to ensure productivity, efficiency, and safety.

  • Ensure all packaging activities adhere to quality standards, safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to production workers, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized packaging area, following all relevant safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and hazards.
  • Implement and oversee proper handling, labeling, and storage of chemical products to minimize risks of contamination or accidents.
  • Conduct regular inspections of packaged goods to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Document production data, including output, downtime, and any incidents or issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, quality control, shipping) to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
  • Provide feedback and performance evaluations to team members, identifying areas for improvement and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to new and existing employees.
  • Track production performance and report on key metrics (e.g., efficiency, scrap rates, downtime).
  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Address any personnel issues, including performance management and disciplinary actions if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably within the chemical industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of packaging equipment, processes, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation for all 4 seasons to ensure consistent and timely attendance.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require standing for long periods, lifting up to 35 lbs., and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in a factory environment with noise, heat, and other typical conditions.
  • Willingness to work overtime depending on production schedules.
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required during certain tasks.
