Lab Technician

Location: Midland, 79706

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Lab Technician to join our team in Midland. The ideal candidate will have experience with standard lab procedures, safety protocols, hazardous chemical handling, and a background in oilfield chemical testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting tests and experiments in a laboratory setting
• Following safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment
• Performing titrations and other chemical analyses
• Handling hazardous chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines
• Maintaining accurate records of test results
• receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested

• Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report

• Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results
• Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment
• Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a laboratory setting
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
• Experience with titration and other chemical analysis techniques
• Familiarity with handling hazardous chemicals
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
