Description
Clinician II is responsible for assessing and providing general and specific treatment to individuals with emotional, mental, or substance abuse difficulties, including abuse of tobacco, alcohol, or other drugs. The clinician’s II job role is to assist clients in their transition out of addiction and into recovery by providing effective therapeutic interventions, salient educational skills and ample opportunities for meaningful client self-discovery. A clinician II may also collaborate with the program director to provide specialized services to the clinic population such as working with federal probation clients.

Requirements
- DPH Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC, LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LPCA)
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Five years of professional counseling experience; or a combination of a degree in a related field and professional experience.
- Evidence of knowledge of the dynamics of chemical dependency rehabilitation, resources available to the chemically dependent, and appreciate of the self-help groups.
- Must demonstrate appreciation and willingness to develop continuing skills towards multicultural competency within a behavioral health setting.
- Must be a growth-oriented person willing to set and work toward professional goals.
- Must demonstrate good emotional stability, maturity, warmth and openness.
- Must have driver’s license and motor vehicle.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Experience with Federal probation preferred.
