About the opportunity: Information Services Specialist (SQL)
We are currently seeking a full-time Information Services Specialist (SQL) to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Information Services department and will be responsible for providing internal technical assistance. C&I is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients
Responsibilities include:
- Develops, maintains, and optimizes T-SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- The Information Services Specialist designs and generates reports using SQL Server Reporting Services to support business needs.
- Utilizes Microsoft Excel (Power Query and VBA) to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data effectively.
- The Information Services Specialist automates repetitive data tasks and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and develop customized solutions.
- Ensures data integrity and accuracy through quality checks and validation processes.
- Supports database performance optimization and troubleshoots issues related to data retrieval and reporting.
- The Information Services Specialist assists with ad hoc reporting and data requests to support decision-making.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field with three years of experience.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Experience with SSRS, including creating, modifying, and deploying reports.
- Familiarity with large datasets and relational databases.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
