About the opportunity: Laser Scanning Technician
We are currently seeking a full-time Laser Scanning Technician to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Civil/Structural team, which is responsible for developing designs for structural layouts in facilities such as refineries, distilleries, and consumer packaging facilities. C&I is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients
Responsibilities include:
- Perform on-site laser scanning utilizing survey control in existing industrial facilities.
- Compile, register, and generate 3D models from point could data
- Uses AutoCAD and other software to complete designs.
- Meets schedule and budget commitments for project tasks as established by others. Coordinates schedule priorities of deliverables with project teams
- Use vendor documents, coordination prints, surveys, and models to check dimensions, determine interface points, and determine physical space requirements.
Minimum requirements:
- 2-year technical degree with a specialization in computer-aided drafting and design, along with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
