We are seeking a Chemical Engineer Co-op to join our team in New Johnsonville, TN.
This position will report directly to the Engineering Supervisor and involve hands-on projects in a chemical plant.
You will work closely with the New Johnsonville team, gaining valuable experience and exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers.
Effective co-ops will have strong communication skills, self-awareness, and a natural curiosity.
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Working with experienced professionals on improvement and expansion projects
- Assisting operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving
- Participating in process safety management activities and reviews
- Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
The following is required for this role:
- Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a rising Sophomore or above
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or similar fields
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
The following is preferred for this role:
- Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
- 3.0 GPA or above
