We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our growing TSS Capital team in La Porte, Texas. This role will report directly to the TSS Capital Leader and be responsible for supervising an engineering unit across multiple locations. You will participate in activities such as planning, reviewing, and executing site projects with responsibility for Engineering Management at our facilities in La Porte - Texas and El Dorado - Arkansas. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Ensure the safe planning and execution of site projects while overseeing the overall Site Engineering function for in-scope facilities. This includes portfolio management, forecasting, schedule development, engineering design, project procurement, quality assurance, contract administration, project safety, turnaround support, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Site Engineering Capability: Ensure consistency between Site Engineering capability and business direction, align with corporate engineering guidance, and deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
- Team Leadership: Provide coaching, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to the team of project managers reporting to this role.
- Capital Planning: Lead the development of the 5-year site capital plan for each site.
- Plant Capital and CAWC Budgets: Manage plant capital and CAWC budgets.
- Accountability and KPIs: Set clear expectations and ensure accountability for project planning and execution while establishing, monitoring, and leading the improvement of KPIs critical to site project planning and execution.
- Capital Steering Team Meetings: Lead monthly capital steering team meetings for each site.
- Site Staff/Site Leadership Team: Serve as a member of the Site Staff/Site Leadership Team at the La Porte and El Dorado sites.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree: In Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of direct project management experience.
- Growth Mindset: Strong growth mindset and ability to quickly learn the Chemours Project System.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Results-Driven: Demonstrated capability of driving for results.
- Ability and interest in working in a hands-on environment with all levels of staff (operators, mechanics, engineers, lab technicians, plant management, senior leadership, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Design Contractors: Experience working with design contractors.
- Toxic Materials: Experience with highly toxic materials and chemical manufacturing operations.
- Procurement Contracts: Experience working with procurement on both T&M and lump sum contracts.
