This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Chemical Engineer Co-op to join our New Johnsonville team.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience working on real-time projects in a chemical plant.
- You will have the chance to work closely with experienced engineers and apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world problems.
- Effective co-ops will possess strong communication skills, self-awareness, and a natural curiosity to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers on improvement and expansion projects to drive business growth and success.
- Support operations and maintenance teams with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving initiatives.
- Participate in process safety management activities and reviews to ensure a safe working environment.
- Contribute to team meetings and conference calls to foster open communication and collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university as a rising Sophomore or above.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Participation in relevant extracurricular activities, organizations, or projects that demonstrate leadership and initiative.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
