Planner/Scheduler

Customer satisfaction and overall company reputation is affected by performance.
Essential Job Functions
- Reviews job/contract requirements to identify all assembly and hardware requirements. Creates Manufacturing Orders for the corresponding quantities along with other items identified to create demand in the MRP system.
- Ensures part coding and planning parameters and part assignments are optimized to support customer and business goals.
- Initiates all part pulls to support MO’s and monitors all incoming hardware and plans production capacity to coincide with part availability.
- Utilizes ERP system to analyze departmental demand and capabilities, and plan future production based on confirmed orders and forecast. Ensure production output matches customer needs based on expected delivery dates.
- Manages and executes inventory strategy including establishing and maintaining purchasing strategy based on demand and lead time, setting inventory min/max levels, and monitoring scheduled part deliveries to match forecasted production.
- Maintain and update required information in CED’s ERP system (BOM’s, Routes, Production Start Dates, Shipment Dates, etc)
- Pulls cross-functional teams together to aggressively resolve job related issues when they arise
- Maintains an accurate revenue and delivery forecast in CED’s ERP system
- Assists in month, quarter, year-end reviews through data preparation and analysis and as requested by Director, VP Operations, CFO or Controller.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree preferred. Five years minimum experience in supply chain, inventory management, planning and/or scheduling. APICS certification is considered a plus.
- Previous experience with Microsoft D365 or ERP equivalent desirable. Proficient computer skills to work with ERP system such as D365.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be eligible to possess explosive under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices.
- Candidate must be proficient in writing and verbal communication skills.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and explosives.
