Job Summary:
The Labeler Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining label printing presses to produce high-quality labels according to client specifications. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Setup & Operation:
- Prepare and set up label printing presses according to production specifications.
- Operate the press to produce labels within quality and time standards.
2. Quality Assurance:
- Inspect printed materials to ensure they meet quality and design specifications.
- Adjust press settings to correct any defects or inconsistencies during production.
3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance on label printing machines to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or technical issues with the press.
4. Material Handling:
- Load and unload materials such as ink, paper, and adhesives.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and report shortages to management.
5. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate production records, including counts, defects, and machine performance.
- Complete job orders and communicate with supervisors about production progress.
6. Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to company safety protocols and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing or machinery is a plus.
- Prior experience operating label printing presses (e.g., flexographic, digital, or offset).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications, color proofs, and technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Skills Required:
