About the Position: The Chemstar WATER Installer is responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining water softeners, filtration, reverse osmosis, and related water treatment systems in, commercial, and industrial environments. This critical role combines technical expertise, diagnostic proficiency, and exceptional customer service to uphold Chemstar WATER’s reputation for excellence and innovation. Installers also play an integral role in within our logistics team supporting deliveries, special projects, ensuring compliance with safety, plumbing, and regulatory standards, and supporting our broader environmental and safety commitments.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission water softeners, filtration, reverse osmosis, flow meters, control devices, and across, commercial, and industrial sites.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on various water treatment systems, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of water treatment and control systems.
  • Educate customers clearly and effectively on system usage, maintenance procedures, and safety considerations.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed service records and communicate clearly with customers, team members, and management about service requirements and outcomes.
  • Manage vehicle inventory, ensuring organized, clean, and adequately stocked storage facilities.
  • Adhere to plumbing best practice, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, including appropriate handling and storage of potentially hazardous chemicals.
  • Provide prompt and effective incident reporting and response, particularly in cases involving hazardous materials.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of Two (2) years experience installing, servicing, and maintaining water treatment or plumbing-related systems.
  • Hands-on experience with water softeners, filtration, reverse osmosis systems, water treatment control equipment.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing connections, water treatment system operations, and electrical systems.
  • Proven diagnostic and problem-solving skills for technical and mechanical issues.
  • Proficiency with the tools, equipment, and testing devices used in water treatment system installations and maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework or training in mechanical, electrical, or electronics maintenance strongly preferred.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces regularly.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions, and with exposure to chemicals, dust, water, and temperature variations.
  • Able to operate vehicles and use communications equipment, computers, and office technology proficiently.
  • Some Nights Weekends and Overtime Required
