The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for gathering and analyzing technical data used to prepare engineering designs for client projects including developing heat and material balances, creating PFDs and P&IDs, and sizing/preparing equipment specifications. Perform all duties while utilizing knowledge of process industry codes and standards, with personal work experience including project scheduling and managing within an engineering budget. This individual is expected to fulfill the requirements of the position and understands that the design process includes visiting clients’ facilities where they may be expected to perform some physical work.

- Responsible for Plan Development, scheduling Process Design activities and resources
- Act as Lead Process Design Engineer on a project basis; includes being a technical resource for the project team as well as directing the work of junior engineers and designers
- Performs all aspects of Process Design Engineering (e.g. development of heat and material balances, P&IDs; and sizing and/or preparation of equipment specifications, performing hydraulic/thermal calculations, relief device calculations, familiarity with process industry codes and standards)
- Maintain effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers and clients
- Estimates work hours, develops scope of work, make staff recommendations, and checks drawings
- Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly
- Accepts other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering is required, PE preferred
- Fifteen(15) or more years working as a Process Design Engineer in one or more of these service areas: chemical, petrochemical, polymer, and refinery
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel), and process simulation software, such as ChemCAD
- Experience with project scheduling and managing engineering budget
- Understanding and knowledge of process industry codes and standards
- Knowledge of process safety management codes
- Experience with process hazards analysis
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Authorize a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background
- Submit to a drug test post offer
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Accepts that this position may require some domestic overnight travel, including the potential for occasional extended assignments
