Chenal Country Club has an immediate opening for a Groundskeeper to join our Golf Course Maintenance team.
The Groundskeeper will be responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the golf course, golf practice areas, clubhouse grounds and flower beds and any other ornamental plantings. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, hard-working, and highly motivated. The Groundskeeper should have prior knowledge of the use of operating equipment and hand tools requiring eye/hand/balance coordination, gas powered equipment (Gators, riding mowers, etc.), self-propelled mowers, blowers and weed eaters.
Physical requirements of the job include, but are not limited to, bending/stooping to plant flowers and remove weeds from flower beds, standing/holding/carrying equipment for extended periods of time, walking behind and controlling self-propelled lawn mowers, and push and pickup of shovel size loads of materials such as aerification plugs, limbs, and debris. He or she will be required to work outside daily and may be exposed to extreme heat and/or extreme cold conditions for extended periods of time.
The Groundskeeper will report directly to and work closely with the Golf Course Superintendents. He or she will also be required to follow all applicable safety policies.
This full time position is available immediately. Qualified candidate must be over 18 and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Benefits include health and dental insurance, 401k and vacation. Chenal Country Club is a drug free workplace, an EOE, MFVD, EVerify, and AAP. The Club is open seven days a week, 12 months a year. This position is available immediately. Required hours include Monday-Friday from 6:30am-3pm and rotating Sat-Sun from 6am-9am.
