MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates MUST meet the following requirements on or before the last date for filing an application for this examination:
Either:
A) Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business administration, human services, or a closely related field AND two years of full-time paid interviewing, investigating, or collection experience or its’ part-time equivalent, which included or was supplemented by one year of supervisory experience; OR
(B) Possession of an Associate’s Degree in business administration, human services, criminal justice, paralegal technology, or a closely related field AND four years of full-time paid interviewing, investigating, or collection experience or its’ part-time equivalent, which included or was supplemented by one year of supervisory experience; OR
(C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
NOTE: To qualify under C) above, candidates must have at least one year of supervisory experience.
Note: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
At time of appointment and continuing throughout appointment a candidate/incumbent must possess a valid New York State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the County’s insurance carrier.
