What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lease Operator position at Chenault Consulting, Inc?
Gauges tanks for sale or transfer of crude oil and water
Operating and troubleshooting compressors, separators, wellheads, and meters
Opens and closes valves and tank hatches
Inspecting gas & oil wells, tanks, separators, compressors, meters, and attached piping components for leaks or unusual conditions and taking corrective actions
Reads automatic gauges, at specified intervals, to determine the flow rate of oil into or out of tanks and the amount of oil in tanks
Completes “daily production sheets,” and reports results to the designated office by the daily deadline
Records meter and pressure readings at the gas well
Gauge tanks containing petroleum and natural gas byproducts, such as condensate, oil, salt water, or natural gas
Starts pumps and opens a valve to regulate the flow of oil into and out of tanks, according to delivery schedules
Shuts down equipment, following supervisor’s instructions, in case of an emergency
Adheres to established work schedule, and attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings
Adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to wear appropriate PPE for the job
Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.)
