Astraeus Operations (AO) is an SBA-certified 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business (SBD) subsidiary of the Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC). The Senior Director of Operations will be responsible for management and oversight of all company business operations and will focus on developing new business. The Senior Director of Operations will manage time between operations and strategic development efforts based on the current business tempo and current priorities.
Responsibilities
Manage service delivery and all contract operations in the Government contracting space.
Executes programs and proposals within scope, cost, and schedule requirements.
Provides day-to-day leadership and management to employees and staff in order to achieve delivery goals and delight customers, while maintaining profit and loss objectives.
Ensures timely submission of all required deliverables and reports.
Lead onboarding of all new programs (transition from business development)
Motivates and leads a high-performance team.
Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within
Represent company with customers and ensure they are very satisfied.
Directly responsible for the leadership and management of operations as well as providing supervision to direct / indirect team members within
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsible for managing organic growth to include rapid task order responses on existing contracts.
Support business development at large.
Up to 30% travel both local and CONUS.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Prefer degree in business or IT related field.)
Master’s degree preferred
12 years of Government Contracting or Government experience required
Must have experience working with Federal Civilian clients
Significant supervisory experience required
PMP certification required
Top Secret Clearance required
Up to 30% travel both local and CONUS. Must be able to travel on short notice.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Must be able to travel on short notice
Ability to manage large groups of people and projects simultaneously
Strong knowledge of technical, programmatic, operational and contractual
Must be strong with a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint), and Outlook
Must have a strong ability to solve undefined problems
Very strong communication skills
Strong sense of ethics
Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting
Must be able to multi-task in a high stress, performance-based
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and
Must have the ability to travel as requested or required based on business
Ability to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and / or holidays.
Experience with business development and start-up
