The Dental Assistant will support the dental team by performance of a range of clinical functions. This position allows the dental team to smoothly function and better serve the intended population. This is a full-time, 8-hour per day, Monday - Friday position.

Responsibilities
- Perform chairside assisting duties in all phases of restorative, prosthetic, endodontic, periodontic, pedodontic, and oral surgical treatment provided in general dentistry.
- Correctly exposes and mounts intra and extra-oral radiographs.
- Provides routine rubber cup and prophylaxis and applies topical fluoride treatment as assigned by the dentist.
- Places pit and fissure sealants as prescribed by the dentist.
- Relays to patient’s post-operative instructions, disease prevention techniques, and home care instructions.
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of all instruments, materials, and procedures normally used in all phases of restorative, prosthodontic, oral surgical, endodontic and periodontal treatment.
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and ability to properly expose and mount diagnostic radiographs.
- Ability to explain to patient’s post-operative instructions, disease prevention techniques, and home care instructions.
- Knowledge of steps and techniques required for the placement of sealants on teeth.
- Knowledge and skill of tooth isolation techniques required to maintain a dry field of placement of restorations and sealants.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques.
- Dental Assistant Certification OR
- 1 year of experience in Dental Assistance
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
