The contractor shall aid in the execution of scientific studies and plaque assays, PCR and other assays, animal procedures, collection/data analyzing, and maintain laboratory and laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare for and participate in BSL2 and BSL3 lab inspections
- Prepare reagents/media for lab
- Present data collection at group meeting
- Organize and maintain data generated from studies
- Responsible for hand receipt items
- Perform animal challenges
- Perform animal necropsies
- Perform literature searches
- Serve as BSL-2 laboratory training representative
- Participate in training new personnel on laboratory tasks
- Conduct BSAT inventory
- Assist with BSL-3 supervisory duties
- Plan and perform animal experiments under BLS-3 conditions
- Participate in rodent studies
- Perform basic lab skills
- Complete equipment inventory
- Assess and maintain laboratory supplies using GFEBS
- Assist with project planning
- Other duties as assigned
- Preferred Master’s degree or the equivalent in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biology, or a related field
- Preferred 4 years’ experience in a bacteriology laboratory
- Preferred prior experience in BSL-3 or BSL-4 laboratories
- Preferred prior clinical diagnostics and regulatory laboratory experience
