Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy patient care including exams, range of motion exams, muscle strength testing, Physical Therapy interventions; requesting diagnostic imaging procedures i.e.. if indicated to primary care MRI, CT, x-ray, and ultrasounds.
- Provide treatment modalities including exercise and rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, dry needling, ROM exercises-strengthening/endurance/flexibility/therapeutic, wheelchair management, orthotic/prosthesis management, warm moist heat, cryotherapy, ultrasound, E-stim-TFC/direct/micro current, TENS unit, soft tissue mobilization, neuromuscular training, kinescoping, manual stretching, peripheral joint mobilization, iontophoresis, phonophoresis, lymphedema management, balance/ coordination training, gait training, traction-manual/mechanical, wound care, compression garments, equipment management, and specialized treatments as indicated with continuing education and
- Recommend referred care for surgical intervention, augmentation for pain management strategies, and any other related treatment strategy deemed medically necessary.
- Provide and coordinate medically indicated treatment with Primary Care Provider.
- Chart, record and document in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system provided by the facility or on any paper forms approved by the facility in case of EHR outage.
- Participate in quality assurance activities that ensure quality patient care as well as efficient use of clinic resources. These activities may include, but not limited to, chart review and discussion with the Clinical Physical Therapy Director of his designee.
- Advise the Clinical Physical Therapy Director of designated representative of any problem encountered, in connection with meeting the patient care needs.
- Develop a working understanding of the Joint Commission standards, the Centers for Disease Control guidelines and Association of Infection Control guidelines.
- Possess a current unrestricted Physical Therapy license for practice in the state of Oklahoma.
- Must be trained in their specialty.
- Possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that he/she can relate constructively to patients of the Native American/Alaska Native communities.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
