Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring a positive experience for prospective tenants. Your strong customer service skills and administrative capabilities will be essential in managing tenant inquiries and maintaining accurate records.
This position offers flexible, part-time hours during the school year, with full-time availability preferred from mid-June through September. While this role has often been a good fit for college students, it is open to anyone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. For the right person, there may be an opportunity to continue full-time beyond the summer.
Duties
- Assist prospective tenants with property inquiries and provide tours of available units.
- Process rental applications, including data entry and verification of applicant information.
- Maintain accurate files and records related to leasing activities and tenant information.
- Utilize property management software, such as On-Site, to track lease agreements and tenant communications.
- Collaborate with the facilities management team to address maintenance requests and ensure properties are well-maintained.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to tenant concerns and inquiries.
- Stay informed about local laws and regulations related to property leasing to ensure compliance.
- Support administrative tasks related to property management, including filing documents and preparing reports.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction.
- Proficiency in data entry and record management.
- Familiarity with OneSite or similar property management software is preferred.
- Knowledge of facilities management principles is a plus.
- Experience in administrative roles within property management or leasing environments is advantageous.
- Understanding of relevant laws governing property leasing is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
