We are seeking an experienced Senior/Staff Engineer, Electrical Reliability to join our team. As a key member of our reliability team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems. You will work closely with our maintenance and operations teams to identify and resolve issues that impact system reliability.
About the Role
The Senior/Staff Engineer, Electrical Reliability is responsible for providing technical guidance and support to our maintenance and operations teams. You will conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on electrical equipment failures, develop and implement reliability improvement plans, and provide expertise in electrical system design and installation.
Key Responsibilities
• Serves as the electrical systems administrator and provides daily electrical systems support to the plant.
• Responsible for industrial electrical systems from field devices to distribution, including lighting panels, power panels, UPS, motor control centers, distribution transformers, switchgear, gas turbines, and diesel generators.
• Uses sound engineering practices, plant standards, and specifications to maintain documentation for electrical systems.
• Develops proposals for plant improvements, including design basis and preliminary estimates and budgets for capital projects.
• Conducts RCFA on equipment failures to eliminate or mitigate consequences.
• Evaluates recommendations from electrical technicians on predictive programs.
• Ensures safety, security, health, and environmental incidents are prevented through frequent job observations and assessments.
• Manages contracts for the purchase of goods and services needed and ensures contractors fulfill their contractual obligations.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineers License desirable.
• A minimum of five years' experience in an industrial setting in engineering or operations, preferably in LNG, petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience.
• Strong leadership and administrative abilities required.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries, and governmental agencies.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Project, and PowerPoint.
